Abstract: How do two people in love prepare themselves for a disease that has a tendency to run in both families? When Tahira Monique Brown met her husband, Victor Brown, his mother, and his mother’s brother had both been diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia. His grandmother had died from Lou Gehrig's Disease a few years earlier. Tahira's baby sister who had Cerebral Palsy was diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia at 29 years old. Tahira's mother was showing symptoms in her late thirties and she died by the time she was forty years old of multiple strokes.
