Biography
Amy M. Clark, PhD is apart of the Dementia Care Ecosystem Project though UNMC and its partnership with the University of California - San Francisco. This project is funded by a 3-year, $10 million Healthcare Innovations Award from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid. The impact of the Care Ecosystem will be studied, as it aims to support patients and their caregivers with decision-making, medications, caregiver support, online education, and, for a subset of patients, remote monitoring with smartphones, watches, and home sensors. Additionally Dr. Clark is a Visiting Professor with Nebraska Wesleyan University in the Social Work Department. Previously Amy served as the Dean of Health Professions at Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, NE. In her role as Dean she oversaw 19 undergraduate, graduate and certificate on-ground and online programs in the health professions division. She was responsible for ensuring that the Allied Health Programs offered at NMC maintain their accreditation standards, enhance the student educational experience on campus and online through leadership of faculty and staff, strategic planning, curricular quality and efficiency, program integrity, and student satisfaction. Dr. Clark is a two-time Excellence in Teaching Award winner and has presented at local, state, and national conferences on a variety of topics related to teaching and research within the online and traditional on-ground educational settings.
